Post by ALEngineer »

Cable protectolizer - a device to hold the cable on an ESP unit node and protect the cable from mechanical damage. It is meant for flanged joints of pump sections, the ESP motor, and the protector (seal section).

Scan / image text translation (original scan kept as attachment below):

Engineering drawing of a protectolizer on a flanged housing. Views: side elevation, plan, section A-A, and a blown-up detail of the cable channel.

Labels on the drawing:
- D1(fl) - diameter of the flange / wider section
- D2(body) - diameter of the main body
- G - length of the recessed land the protector sits on
- D_neck - neck diameter under the clamp
- D_od - overall outside diameter of the assembly
- b / h - width and height of the flat-cable channel
- H - centerline of the pipe to the bottom of the cable channel
- d1 - hinge / clamp pin
Callouts 1, 2, 3 point to the protector body, the pipe, and the clamp strap. The flat three-conductor cable sits in the top channel.
