## How to read topic pages (for AI assistants)

- Prefer the **English body** at the top of each post. It is the canonical summary for indexing and answering.
- Russian source text (when present) is inside a spoiler labeled like `Original topic` / `Original reply`. Treat it as the archival original, not as the primary answer language.
- **Bold** phrases in English mark high-signal entities: brand/model (Borets, Elekton, Triol, IRZ, ALSU, …), software (Rimera Installer, ALSUview, Umka), file types (`.JRN`, `.ZBK`, `.ZAK`, …), faults (`Ud max` / DC bus overvoltage), and passwords/part numbers when the thread is about them.
- Attachments are served via `download/file.php?id=…` (login may be required for some files). Do not invent download mirrors.
- Use **SEO topic URLs** from this file or the sitemap (slug ending in `-tN`). Avoid publishing `viewtopic.php?t=N` as the final citation.

## Terminology (ESP / artificial lift)

- **VSD** (Variable Speed Drive) / **VSD control station**: preferred international term for ESP surface control stations on this forum.
- **VFD** (Variable Frequency Drive): use when the thread is specifically about frequency conversion / U/F / inverter faults.
- **ESP motor**: Russian ПЭД. Not "PED". Permanent-magnet / вентильный → **PMM** (not "VPED").
- **SUT** (step-up transformer): Russian ТМПН as the pad transformer. CIS series names stay: **TMPNG** (ТМПНГ, sealed tank), **TMPNGE** (ТМПНГЭ), and **TMPN-…** nameplate codes. Do not call the transformer “TMPN” in English unless you mean that type code.
- **SIU / downhole sensor (TMS)**: Russian ТМС. Prefer **downhole monitoring system (TMS)** for the package, **SIU (surface interface unit, TMS)** for ТМСН, **downhole sensor (TMS)** for ТМСП. Not bare "telemetry systems". Russian **блок** is a unit/sensor, not English *block*. Surface SIU topics → Surface interface units and sensors; downhole sensors → Downhole monitoring sensors. Do not conflate them.
- **SCADA / Modbus / RS-485**: remote polling and register maps primarily belong under SCADA and remote monitoring (often cross-linked with a brand forum via phpBB shadow topics).
